What Porcelain Veneers Can Do

Veneers are thin shells of dental porcelain bonded to the front surfaces of teeth. They are the most versatile cosmetic restoration in dentistry, capable of correcting shape, color, alignment, proportion, and subtle asymmetry in a single, conservative treatment.

The Veneer Process At Warrenton Dentist

Every veneer case begins with photographs, a thorough discussion of your goals, and often a wax-up or digital preview so that you can see and approve the proposed result before any treatment begins.

When the design is approved, we prepare the teeth as conservatively as possible, often removing less than a half millimeter of enamel, and send detailed records to our ceramist. Final veneers are placed at a subsequent visit.

Maintenance

Well-made veneers can last fifteen to twenty years or more with routine care. We will see you for cleanings and exams on the same schedule as before, nothing changes about your hygiene routine.

Frequently Asked

Common questions about veneers.

How many veneers will I need?
It depends on what you want to change. Some patients choose a single veneer to address one tooth. Others choose a set of six, eight, or ten across the smile zone. We will recommend the smallest number that achieves your goal.
Are veneers reversible?
Because a small amount of enamel is removed, veneers are considered a permanent restoration. The teeth will always have veneers, though existing veneers can be replaced when needed.
